During his first six years as Supervisor, Fred has been able to:

  • Successfully settle negotiations with the Power Authority, bringing Lewiston $70 million in cash for town projects and more than $100 million in savings to residents in their home electrical bills over the course of the 50-year agreement.
  • Eliminate the Town Tax, saving residents more than $500,000 in property taxes.
  • Successfully prevent more truck traffic & garbage from coming into Lewiston.  Fred was the only member of the Town Board to oppose the proposal to increase Modern’s truck traffic by 25%.
  • Save taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars each year by reducing full time public jobs through attrition, replacing with part time positions, and finding less costly health care plans for employees.
  • Brought a spirit of bi-partisan co-operation to the Town Board.  During Fred’s six years of leading the Board, 98% of all votes have been unanimous.
  • Increase funding for Lewiston’s Library, Senior, and Recreation programs.
  • Always hire the best person for the job, regardless of political affiliation.
